NAD UNWRAPS T 778 AV RECEIVER AT CEDIA 2019
NAD Electronics has previewed their new T 778 9 channel flagship AVR at CEDIA Expo 2019.
The T 778 features the latest developments in NAD's Hybrid Digital technology to create 9 high current/high power channels of amplification with improved efficiency.
Designed with NAD's full-disclosure approach to power ratings, the NAD AVR conservatively delivers 9 X 100W FTC and 9 x 80W FDP, all channels driven at rated distortion.
For flexibility, the amp channels are configurable to be used for surround or second zone audio. We are promised a silent black background along with explosive dynamics that add lifelike realism, drama and excitement to music and movies.
The low profile 3U rack-mount chassis and TFT touch display combine with certified driver support for all major control systems. Those particular attributes make the T 778 the perfect choice for advanced custom home theatres.
Thanks to the NAD Modular Design Construction (MDC), the T 778 has built-in future-proofing as the two MDC slots allow for modules to be updated as and when digital formats change requirements.
Additionally, the NAD T 778 packs 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, DTS Master Audio and Dirac Live room correction, which together delivers hyper-realism that captures every dimension of a performance, says the brand. Add to all of that bit-perfect 4K UHD video pass-through, and the T 778 will undoubtedly provide an accurate sound and image experience. Finally, you also get High Res Multi-room streaming smarts via BluOS as well as MQA unfolding.
If wireless is your thing, then the two-way Bluetooth aptX HD will also be of interest.
Greg Stidsen, NAD's Chief Technology Officer, told StereoNET:
The T 778 packages that sound quality with the most compelling digital technologies such as BluOS, MQA, Bluetooth aptX HD Dirac Live in a user-friendly format. NAD firmly believes that there are many people for whom music will always come first. With NAD's reputation for high value/high performance, it was apparent that the T 778 would have to please the most demanding Audiophiles and Videophiles. MDC then helps protect their investment for years to come.
