More Arcam and JBL Components Roon Ready

Harman stablemates Arcam and JBL Synthesis have together announced a plethora of newly Roon Ready models.

Arcam kicks off by announcing Roon Ready status for five of its models: the AVR10, AVR20, AVR30 AV receivers; the AV40 AV processor; and SA30 class G intelligent amplifier. Meanwhile, JBL Synthesis announces Roon Ready and Roon Tested status for its SDP-55 AV processor and the SDR-35 Class G AV receiver.

The Roon Ready status shows that these network devices have Roon’s streaming technology built-in. Furthermore, these devices will discover and connect to Roon without the need for any configuration to deliver bit-perfect audio.

The five Arcam models and pair of JBL Synthesis units have been certified by Roon Labs, which has worked with the brands to provide the highest quality and performance in network streaming. To certify as Roon Tested device, a product must also work over USB, HDMI, AirPlay, Google Cast, and other protocols.

As a result, these components now offer even greater value and performance to existing and new users.

To ensure that models are running the latest Roon certified software, existing AVR 10/20/30 and AV40 users should run Arcam Software v1.46, and SA30 users should check for Arcam Software V867. Meanwhile, JBL SDP-55 and SDR-35 owners should ensure that their machines are running software v1.46.

WHAT WE THINK

It's certainly the more the merrier when it comes to the ever-growing number of Roon Ready certified components as this slick interface makes it so easy to control multiple devices around the home, whether that's via a computer, tablet or mobile phone. Not only that, but each control device has access to all your networked music library as well as your subscribed hi-res streaming services. What's not to like?
