Metronome Le Player 3+ Hybrid DAC CD player Released

Métronome's Classica range is completed with the arrival of the Le Player 3+ high-end DAC and CD player.

The Métronome Le Player 3+ sees the Le Player 3 CD transport gain a top-flight DAC enabling it to crunch data up to DSD 512.

Dubbing the new arrival to the Classica range a “DAC and CD player hybrid” the Le Player 3+ is “the perfect device for all the music lovers who listen to computer music and thus need an excellent DAC, but who also listen their old CDs from time to time”, according to the Montans-based brand.

Sending your digital tunes in via the asynchronous USB port, the DAC will happily decode PCM up to 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD up to 512. Meanwhile, the S/P DIF input supports PCM up to 24 / 192.

When you feel inclined to spin a silver disc, the Le Player 3+ naturally builds upon the Le Player 3's already tweaked Philips GF8 CD pickup mechanism. Furthermore, the manufacturer has also introduced a new decoupling system. Additionally, Métronome has further reduced transport noise from interfering with the performance thanks to a “pickup box” soundproofed enclosure.

The Métronome Le Player 3+ is available now for €6,000 RRP.
