Mark Levinson Surprises CES With No.5909 Wireless ANC Headphones

Mark Levinson has unveiled its first-ever premium noise-cancelling wireless headphones, the №5909, at CES 2022.
Mark Levinson's №5909 headphones is a somewhat surprising announcement from the USA-based hi-fi component maker.
The Mark Levinson №5909 features a lightweight anodised aluminium frame and metallic painted ear cups, with a leather headband and replaceable ear cushions. Each earcup houses a 40mm Beryllium-coated driver with the output naturally tuned to the parent company's signature “Harman Curve”.
The №5909 headphones utilise Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC, AAC, and aptX for wireless listening. Alternatively, cabled audio enjoyment is provided via the bundled USB-C to 3.5mm audio cables along with jack and mini-jack adaptors. Mark Levinson states that the headphones boast “24-bit/96kHz processing and an acoustic response up to 40kHz”.
We're told to expect the No.5909 to be able to deliver up to 34 hours of standard playback or 30 hours with adaptive active noise-cancellation engaged. Furthermore, a 15 minute quick charge via USB-C translates to six hours of play time.
As expected from premium noise-cancellers these days, the №5909's 'Ambient Aware' mode allows you to be more aware of your surroundings and announcements. Additionally, a four-microphone array equipped with 'Smart Wind Adaption' should keep your phone calls clear.
The Mark Levinson №5909 headphones are priced at £999 with finish options of Pearl Black, Ice Pewter and Radiant Red.
