Klipsch Releases Reference Premiere Subwoofers

Klipsch has released four new subwoofers explicitly designed to match the performance of its top-selling Reference Premiere speakers.

Said to be “hyper-efficient with the optimal balance between amplifier power, driver capability and cabinet volume”, the new Reference Premiere subwoofers achieve maximum low-frequency extension with great output, accuracy and speed.

The four models consist of the 16-inch RP-1600SW (£1,849/ €1,999), 14-inch RP-1400SW (£1,399/ €1,499), 12-inch RP-1200SW (£1,099/ €1,199) and the 10-inch RP-1000SW (£899/ €999).

All models utilise a front-firing spun copper Cerametallic woofer, which the company says “delivers remarkably low-frequency response with minimal distortion. The built-in, high-efficiency Class-D amplifier features an analogue preamp design, “which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction”. Proprietary internal geometry with a new Aerofoil slot port design minimises port noise for clean, undistorted low frequencies.

The RCA and WA-2 wireless inputs can be used simultaneously, enabling a single subwoofer to connect to multiple speaker systems in a room.

The Klipsch Reference Premiere subwoofer range is finished in a scratch-resistant ebony vinyl finish that looks just like real wood and covers the entire cabinet. Additional features include rounded corners, shock-absorbing rubber feet, steel grille posts and a woven cloth grille offering a premium look and feel.

We're very proud of this latest Reference Premiere subwoofer range. Thanks to ongoing research and development by Klipsch engineers, it's easily the biggest and most highest-performing range of subwoofers to date.
