JBL Bar 5.0 MultiBeam Virtual Atmos Soundbar Released

JBL's Bar 5.0 MultiBeam soundbar is in store soon.

JBL's Bar 5.0 MultiBeam soundbar promises incredible 3D surround sound thanks to Virtual Dolby Atmos, and four passive radiators along with, unsurprisingly, JBL's MultiBeam technology.

Pitched as “an all-in-one sensation” the Bar 5.0 MultiBeam is said to unlock a vast 3D soundstage from its surprisingly compact dimensions. We're told that the soundbar's built-in subwoofer means there is no need for separate speakers or cables. Meeting HDCP 2.2 standards, this JBL soundbar also sports enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) HDMI.

The Bar 5.0's MultiBeam technology creates an immersive cinematic listening experience thanks to JBL's clever tech and “expertly positioned speaker drivers”. Meanwhile, Virtual Dolby Atmos turns any living space into a 3D personal theatre by reproducing the overhead surround sound from Dolby Atmos movies, TV shows and music.

JBL's Bar 5.0 MultiBeam supports Apple Airplay 2, and Chromecast built-in. Furthermore, the soundbar is compatible with Amazon and Google voice assistants, integrating with your voice-operated household. It’s also compatible with Amazon’s MRM (Multi-Room Music) protocol, meaning you can use the speaker as part of an integrated multi-room Alexa system. There's also Bluetooth for plug and play music streaming with compatibility with all iOS and Android devices.
