Electrocompaniet EC Play v1.6 Announced

Electrocompaniet has updated its EC Play app to include multi-language and tablet landscape orientation support.

CORRECTION - We have just been informed that although the press release stated v2.2 it is, in fact, v1.6. We have updated the article to reflect this amendment.

Electrocompaniet's EC play app controls the Norweigan audio brand's range of EC Software Engine-powered network audio streamers, speakers, and integrated amplifiers. Today the manufacturer announces enhancements to its apps as it continues to strive to ensure its customers enjoy listening to their music collections in a variety of different ways, as it has done for almost half a century.

EC play is compatible with the Tana SL2 Speaker and streamer, ECI 6 DX MKII Integrated Amplifier, DAC and streamer (above) and ECM 1 MKII Network Streamer (below) in the current Electrocompaniet line-up.

Version 1.6 brings with it support for German, Norwegian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Hungarian, Turkish, Russian, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese. Also, we are told that more languages will be added soon.

Additionally, iOS and Android tablets get support for Landscape orientation which gives users a further navigation option.

Furthermore, v1.6 also paves the way for more updates coming very soon, as well as those all-important bug fixes that generally get bundled in software releases.
