Denon True Wireless Earbud Debut Revealed

Denon gets involved in the true wireless scene with not one but two new models that promise best-in-class sound quality.

The Denon AH-C830NCW noise cancelling earbuds and Denon AH-C630W wireless earphones feature large-diameter dynamic drivers tested and tuned by Denon Sound Masters.

Denon says that the AH-C830NCW (above) and AH-C630W (below) true wireless earphones have been designed using extensive ear canal simulations, enabling engineers to sculpt the perfect shape for all users. Additionally, each earbud comes with three sizes of silicon tips.

Both models are IPX4 rated for durability, making them safe to wear even during rain or heavy workouts.

The Denon AH-C830NCW Noise Cancelling Earbuds benefits from Google Fast Pair for easy and convenient device pairing as well as Denon's next-generation active noise cancelling (ANC) system. Denon's ANC tech leverages dual-microphones in each earbud and advanced processing to reduce ambient noise. In addition, with Transparency Mode, the noise-cancelling and ambient sound mix functions can be switched quickly with a simple touch sensor. Meanwhile, a wear detection function automatically plays and pauses music depending on if the earbud is in or out.

Those two mics also utilise a beamforming formation along with advanced digital signal processing, while a third microphone takes advantage of the ear canal's natural shielding against wind and ambient noise to bring additional voice clarity.

The Denon AH-C630W Wireless Earbuds use a sophisticated microphone for voice calls, providing clear, wireless communication.

Battery stamina is quoted as lasting up to 6 hours of wireless Bluetooth music on a single charge and up to 24 hours total, with additional charging cycles from the included charging case for the Noise Cancelling Earbuds. The others are curiously quoted to give you up to 4.5 hours of wireless Bluetooth music on a single charge and up to 18 hours total, with additional charging cycles from the included charging case. Recharging the case comes via the bundled USB-C cable.

Both models are available now in black or white. The Noise Cancelling Earbuds (£139/ €159) feature a glossy finish with silver accents, while the Wireless Earbuds (£89/ €99) get a slick-looking matte finish.
