DALI Expands EQUI System for True Wireless Surround Sound

Featuring a wireless framework, high-resolution, and low latency wireless audio, the DALI EQUI system creates an active surround system experience. With its new HDMI expansion module for the DALI SOUND HUB, users can now connect up to eight channels for 7.1 surround sound.
The Danish sound specialists have launched more products compatible with its EQUI ecosystem, which the company says allows “the world's first true wireless surround sound system.”
Creating an active wireless surround system begins with the new HDMI expansion module for the DALI SOUND HUB. Users can then choose an active wireless speaker from the OBERON C and RUBICON C series for front and surrounds. DALI's OBERON VOKAL C takes care of the all-important dedicated centre channel duty, while the DALI WSR (wireless subwoofer receiver) completes the set by adding wireless capability to any active subwoofer, making it part of the EQUI system.
The zero-loss wireless technology and active loudspeaker range include the following models:
HDMI module (£339 RRP)
Wireless surround sound becomes a reality with this expansion module for the SOUND HUB with the HDMI module. This easy-to-install module for the DALI SOUND HUB boasts zero-loss and low-latency qualities and connects all additional parts of the system.
OBERON VOKAL C (£599 RRP)
The OBERON VOKAL C is a new addition to the OBERON C range designed with TV audio in mind. Despite its compact dimensions, this dedicated active wireless centre-channel speaker provides a rendered audio performance comparable to significantly larger speakers.
The cabinet itself is fitted with a 5.25-inch DALI wood fibre cone driver featuring DALI's Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) and a DALI ultra-lightweight 29mm soft dome tweeter.
DALI WSR (£129 RRP)
DALI Wireless Subwoofer Receiver delivers wireless connectivity to create the ultimate immersive sound experience. This plug-and-play solution perfectly integrates existing products with the EQUI wireless surround system.
BluOS NPM-2i module (£429 RRP)
The NPM-2i BluOS expansion module for the SOUND HUB drives multi-room streaming to compatible devices through the likes of BluOS and AirPlay 2. The advanced multi-room audio technology facilitates streaming from various services, radio stations, and digital sources to any BluOS-enabled stereo system or speaker using the BluOS app. Additionally, this can be can bundled with the Dali Sound Hub for £749.
RUBICON 8 C (£6,999 RRP)
An active wireless floor stander with a huge sound, the RUBICON 8 C is a new member of the RUBICON C family.
