Chord Electronics’ Anni Desktop Amp Boasts ULTIMA Power

Chord Electronics' Anni desktop integrated amp squeezes ULTIMA technology into the Qutest case.
Chord's Anni is a desktop headphone amplifier that can also power a pair of bookshelf speakers. This is thanks to Anni benefitting from the company's proprietary ULTIMA circuit topology that's perfectly positioned to exploit the full potential of today's high-performance headphones, desktop monitors, and high-resolution audio sources so says the British audio brand.
The new Anni desktop integrated amplifier forms part of the Qutest range and complements the Applause Award-winning Qutest standalone DAC and Huei phono stage.
Featuring Chord Electronics' recently announced dual-feed-forward error-correction circuit topology, Anni can drive any headphone load. Additionally, it delivers 10 watts of ULTIMA amplification with two-stage gain control to connected loudspeakers. This is controlled by a fascia-mounted volume control that doubles as an input selector switch for Anni's two line-level inputs and a Gain button.
Furthermore, along with the UK-made precision CNC-machined high-grade aluminium casework and trademark polychromatic control spheres, Anni boasts 3.5 mm and ¼-inch (6.35 mm) headphone outputs, so two can listen simultaneously, plus 4 mm banana-type loudspeaker outputs.
The Chord Electronics Anni is powered by a 15 V external power supply and benefits from a 12 V DC output, capable of powering the Qutest DAC and Huei phono stage when used with the new Qutest range power adaptor which comes supplied.
As a system, the Qutest range promises to be an excellent desktop audio solution, offering you top-quality audio from the diminutive components. Furthermore, Chord Electronics' compact QSS (Qutest Stand System) modular equipment rack will not only display your system perfectly and increase airflow around the devices, but it will also save you even more real estate.
Chord Electronics' Anni is shipping now and has an SRP of £1,195.
