Bassocontinuo Classic Line 2.1 Racks Released
Bassocontinuo's new Classic Line 2.1 A/V racks range is backed by independent lab testing.
Bassocontinuo's Classic Line 2.1 range of entry-level equipment supports directly replaces the previous Classic Line 2.0. Naturally, the latest range is still made in Italy but is said to offer improved aesthetics and performance over its predecessor.
Bassocontinuo's Classic Line 2.1 was designed to be versatile range and fully modular, enabling you to tailor the rack to your requirements as well as being able to add extra levels as your system grows. Furthermore, the Italian company's goal was to offer the new range at an affordable price while still offering impeccable technical features.
The five-strong Classic Line 2.1 comprises both hi-fi and A/V racks, plus turntable wall shelves and power amp platforms, in a range of leg heights from 90 mm to 290 mm. Accommodating the wide-ranging and diverse dimensions of today's audio equipment, the Classic Line 2.1 offers additional shelf-height adjustment, achieved by the inspired use of removable leg cylinders. Five and ten-centimetre cylinders are available separately to seamlessly adjust shelf height if needed.
The Classic 2.1 line's 'zero-shaking' clamp system, we're told, brings improved stability compared to the previous design. Further features include a cosmetic tie-rod cover made of Delrin and a new spike design with a stabilising washer for fine-tuning. Moreover, the Classic 2.1 line has been thoroughly tested by an independent laboratory in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, boasts the manufacturer.
In addition to Bassocontinuo's standard Cerbero Black and Iside White finishes, the company has added Walnut and Wenge, to complement the loudspeakers of fellow Italian brand, Sonus faber. Meanwhile, the legs are available in dark grey, milky white and silver. The shelves are 25 mm thick with a load capacity from 60 kg.
The Classic 2.1 line is available now, priced from £440 per tier, each of which comes with a five-year guarantee.
