Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore Rugged Portable Speaker Launched
Bang & Olufsen is preparing for life outdoors with its type 2 anodised aluminium-clad, IP67-rated Beosound Explore speaker.
Bang & Olufsen's Beosound Explore is a lightweight, dust and waterproof portable speaker that's further protected by a scratch-resistant type 2 anodised aluminium surface.
The Beosound Explore has been designed to be perfect for picnics, days at the beach, hiking or getting further out into the wilds, hinted at by the aluminium carabiner that enables you to attach it to your rucksack. Dare we even talk about the possible return of festivals?
The can-like 81x124x81mm design not only provides a secure grip it also means that it will fit into rucksack pockets. Weighing just 631 grams, the Beosound Explore promises up to 27 hours of playtime, meaning you get music all day without recharging. When the time comes, an empty to full battery takes 2 hours via the USB-C port.
Bang & Olufsen's “signature sound” comes by way of dual 1.8-inch full-range drivers and boasts “59dB in bass capability” despite its compact size. The grill is cut in 360-degree lines, which is said to ensure True360 omnidirectional sound and a claimed 56 Hz-22.7 kHz frequency range with a quoted 91dB max loudness. Additionally, you can pair two Beosound Explorers together for stereo. Wireless connectivity is thanks to Bluetooth 5.2.
Bang & Olufsen's Beosound Explore is available now in Black Anthracite and Green, with the Grey Mist version coming later in the Summer, costing £169/ €199.
