AuSounds From LA Lands in UK
A young Los Angeles headphone brand with products said to be designed and tuned by music business luminaries, has come to the UK.
AuSounds has landed in the UK and has a collection that includes true wireless earbuds and a high fidelity neckband with pro-standard over-ear cans coming soon.
The creative team behind the Los Angeles-based brand has designed a range of earphones featuring tech such as planar magnetic drivers, active noise cancelling developed to have zero effect on sound reproduction and IPX5 rating for use whatever the weather.
The AU Stream Hybrid earphones are £199.95 and offer a more discrete form factor and hybrid noise cancellation, while the high-fidelity AU-Flex ANC neckband model costs £229.95. Additionally, the AU-Flex ANC model has already achieved honouree status in the 2020 CES Innovation Awards for its “superior resolution and natural sound balance from its Hybrid Planar Magnetic drivers”.
More importantly, we are told that “what separates Ausounds from the majority of brands in the headphone market is its music-first approach.”
Five-time Grammy Award-winning producer, Brian Kennedy
The company was set up by Michael Chen, who has 16 years of experience in audio manufacturing, and its president and CEO, Marcus Sanchez, who has previously worked with Audeze, the Universal Music Group and Monster.
Marcus Sanchez told StereoNET:
The role of music creators in the industry is tantamount to everything; this is where our sound comes from. We wanted to create a brand that addresses the many needs of creators at all levels - in their everyday lives and in their work.
Alongside professionals from the LA music scene, Ausounds has brought on board an engineering team who have performed research and development for brands such as Beats, JBL, Bose, and Sennheiser. Moreover, they have apparently won multiple awards for audio performance and industrial design.
The company is keen to find unsigned music creators and influencers in the UK to work with in the future.
AuSounds products are designed, developed and manufactured in AuSounds' own facilities and can now be found in Richer Sounds and independent retailers in Great Britain and Nothern Ireland. There is also a UK website - iamaudio.co.uk.
