The American brand, founded in 1946, has a legendary history in cinema sound reproduction. With 75 years of innovation building on JBL's rich history of audio excellence, JBL Synthesis has become a leader in multi-channel immersive audio worldwide. This rich history includes Lucasfilm selecting JBL to develop the first commercial THX-licensed cinema speaker system in 1983. Nine years later, JBL Synthesis released the first THX home theatre system. Today, JBL Synthesis offers one of the most advanced multi-channel audio systems available, with the ability to scale from small, intimate spaces to the largest private home cinemas.
Showcased in the Victoria Room by Australian distributor Convoy will be a 7.4.4 Dolby Atmos configuration, explicitly chosen to demonstrate realistic and practical home cinema configurations. Products featured will include the JBL SDR-35 AV Receiver, SDA-7120 7-Channel Class-G Amplifier, and newly released SCL-6/7/8 in-wall and in-ceiling speakers.
Providing the visual delights will be nothing less than a Barco Residential Bragi CS projector, featuring 5K resolution in Cinemascope utilising their patented 2:37 DLP Chipset. LED illumination allows the widest colour gamut that can produce 100% of DCI p3 Colour. With 2200 ANSI lumens, it can produce 40 foot-lamberts for true HDR on screens up to 3.1 m wide. The 100,000:1 dynamic contrast combined with the highest quality all-glass lenses produces flawless 4K images with zero edge to edge artefacts.
