At this year's StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show, you'll get to be among the first in the world to experience Yamaha's brand new Hi-Fi 2000 Series, including the R-N2000A and NS-2000A.

The Japanese company's new series inherits the full-scale hi-fi analogue technology cultivated in its flagship series of HiFi 5000 and 3000. The company says its R-N2000A Network Receiver and NS-2000A Floor-standing Hi-Fi Speaker embrace Yamaha Audio's core elements - Tonal Balance, Dynamics, and Sound Image - in pursuit of True Sound; to articulate all the intents of the artist and stir the emotions of the listener.

R-N2000A – 2-CHANNEL NETWORK RECEIVER

The R-N2000A Network Receiver lets you enjoy virtually all kinds of music content, from tried-and-true legacy favourites to various streaming services and even ultra-high-resolution sound sources with support for DSD up to 11.2MHz. Incorporating a variety of technologies adopted from its flagship Hi-Fi amplifier and totally inclusive functionality for enjoyment of all your favourite music sources and content, the R-N2000A provides the highest sonic quality for your listening experience.

It features YPAO™-R.S.C. and precision EQ, ESS SABRE ES9026PRO Ultra DAC, MusicCast networking system, AirPlay 2, HDMI ARC terminal for excellent TV sound, and Level Meters to convey dynamics and music pulse with nostalgic looks.

Weighing in at 22.1kg, rated output power is stated as 90 W + 90 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz—20 kHz, 0.07 % THD), and there are four analog inputs, three digital inputs (Optical 1, Optical 2, Coaxial), and a headphone output.

NS-2000A HARMONIOUS DIAPHRAGM HI-FI SPEAKERS

In creating the NS-2000A, Yamaha says it has taken its rich sensibilities forged in manufacturing an enviable portfolio of world-renowned musical instruments, and fused them with the latest technologies. "Incorporating the special know-how, technology and design concept gained from developing the flagship model, our new Hi-Fi speakers fully achieve outstanding sonic expressiveness."

The NS-2000A is a 3-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker featuring dual 6.5-inch woofers, 8cm midrange drive, and 3cm tweeter. The frequency response is 34 Hz–65 kHz (-10 dB), 88dB efficiency, 60w Power Handling (200w Peak), and 6ohm nominal impedance.

Merging the style of the piano with the design philosophy of the speaker, Yamaha's signature gloss finish has been adopted on these speakers, using the same process as used on their grand pianos - a process reserved for a limited number of products in Yamaha's range. This elegant finish presents the speaker "as a stylish piece of furniture, providing a gratifying feeling both when listening to music and even when not".

Dale Moore, Head of Marketing & Sales Strategy AV Division at Yamaha Australia, told StereoNET:

This extraordinary combination of our latest Hi-Fi components, the R-N2000A and NS-2000A, provides the discerning and style-conscious listener with exceptional quality and a new truly Hi-Fi audio life, developed for the modern era.

Yamaha's Hi-Fi 2000 Series will be shown in Australia for the first time at the 2022 StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show, June 3rd-5th, at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, in Room Lake 3. Tickets are on sale now.
