Room 1311 (Level 1) will feature the award-winning Revel F328Be 3-Way floorstanding speaker. With a retail price a touch shy of $30,000, the F328Be is the flagship in the PerformaBe series. It utilises a 1-inch Beryllium Dome Tweeter, a rare earth metal renowned for its remarkable physical properties that make it the ideal material for a high-frequency transducer. Compared to aluminium and titanium tweeter diaphragms, Beryllium offers 4.5 times the stiffness and three times more damping, and does so at only half of the weight. Beryllium tweeters are the centrepiece of the Revel PerformaBe loudspeaker series.
The latest electronics from the Mark Levinson 5000 series will power the Revel speakers, including the award-winning 5105 turntable. The second-ever turntable from the company, it's been marked as a "premium precision-engineered turntable with a completely original custom design", the № 5105 is said to blend "lustrous elements intrinsic to the acclaimed 5000 series industrial design".
Moving into Room 1315 (Level 1), enthusiasts will be able to hear a true match made in heaven, where JBL's latest studio monitors, including the 4309 and 4349, will be driven by the smooth as silk Cary Audio DMS-700 network music player and the SLP-05 pre and CAD-120MkII power amp.
Convoy will also implement the proven range of IsoAcoustics isolation devices on its products, in conjunction with the JBL HDI series, powered by NAD Master series.
"We look forward to being able to show a new range of products to some old and new faces", said David Matthews, Managing Director of Convoy.
Convoy will exhibit in four rooms at this year's StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show - 1311, 1315, C5, and Victoria Room (JBL Synthesis Cinema) all on Level 1. The show takes place June 3rd-5th at the Pullman Mercure Hotel, Queens Road, Albert Park VIC. Tickets are on sale now.
