Q Acoustics M20 HD Wireless Music System Launched
The new Q Acoustics HD wireless music system breaks cover. The M20 boasts that it is the most powerful, immersive and convenient way to enjoy music, movies and gaming audio anywhere in the home.
Q Acoustics' M20 is said to sport advanced driver technology, award-winning P2P (Point to Point) cabinet bracing, and an elegant, classic design that delivers class-leading wireless hi-res audio.
The M20 is powered by a built-in amplifier pushing out a claimed 130 watts via its two-way design. The 22mm tweeter is decoupled to minimise any internal vibrations, while the 125mm mid/bass driver and rear-firing reflex port in each speaker all work together to produce a claimed frequency response (DSP set flat) of 20Hz to 20kHz ±0.5dB.
Naturally, the M20 benefits from Q Acoustics' proprietary P2P (Point to Point) internal bracing to support the parts of the enclosure that need to be stiffened. According to the British audio specialist, this is said to improve the focus of the stereo image and give the soundstage more accuracy than ever before. Furthermore, the grille's curved contours are designed to disperse any tweeter activity, keeping unwanted reflections to a minimum.
Bluetooth 5.0 is onboard along with aptX HD tech for wireless high-resolution streaming up to 24-bit/48kHz from any compatible device. Additionally, connect the M20 to a computer via USB, and you can hear hi-res audio in 24bit/192kHz.
The flexible and compact (279mm x 170mm x 296mm (HxWxD)) M20 is not just about the latest wireless technology. Instead, it features enough inputs to let your TV, games console, set-top box, turntable or anything else you fancy join in the high-resolution stereo experience.
There's also subwoofer output in case you need to really shake the room.
To make positioning near a mains power outlet easier, you can designate the powered speaker as either the left or right channel. Also, you can let the system know if each speaker is positioned in a corner, against a wall or in free space via the EQ switch. That way, the digital sound processing can work its magic and optimise the audio performance no matter where you have your M20 speakers.
Finally, stands and wallbrackets are also available for further placement options.
The Q Acoustics M20 HD wireless music system is priced at US$599.
