PMC Speakers Upgradable to Signature - fact!
PMC's fact.8 and fact.12 are now retailer-upgradeable to Signature status through improved crossover components.
Owners of the original fact.8 and fact.12 loudspeakers can now elevate them to fact Signature performance levels that promise increased transparency and greater resolution.
PMC's much-lauded fact series loudspeakers benefited from incorporating everything the company learned about advanced transmission line speakers in the previous twenty years. However, during the development of fenestria, PMC's engineers undertook extensive research into the effect of vibrations on audio performance. In particular, the analysis of vibration and its impact on sensitive components within crossover circuits. This, we are told, led to fenestria being fitted with the best British-made capacitors and non-inductive German resistors, all in the name of eradicating internal micro-vibrations which negatively impact the speaker's performance.
Now, this technology is found in the fact signature series, unveiled at High End Munich 2019 (pictured above), as new crossovers mounted on military-grade circuit boards populated with the same critical hand-selected components employed in the fenestria. Furthermore, PMC states that the positioning of each component is carefully calculated to minimise unwanted interference. Then, says the British speaker firm, each crossover is tuned to provide optimum performance of the system with improvements in the resolution of micro-details, soundstage presentation and an increased tangibility in the critical midrange/vocal region.
As of today, owners of existing fact.8 and fact.12 models can also benefit from this upgraded tech and attention to detail by taking their loudspeakers to their local PMC retailer and requesting an upgrade to elevate their speakers' performance to signature status.
The fact.8 signature and fact.12 signature upgrades are available for RRP £2,295 (€2695) and £3,995 (€4795) including VAT respectively.
