NAD Announces Masters M10 V2 “Just Add Speakers” System
NAD Electronics has a new and improved NAD Masters M10 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifier that offers 100 Watts per channel amplification, and the capability to expand with Dolby Digital Surround decoding for a wireless home cinema system.
The NAD Masters M10 V2 features various playback options. Through the user-friendly BluOS app, you can play music from your favourite streaming service, as well as locally stored music. You also get two-way aptX HD Bluetooth for a further wireless option. There are also RCA analogue, optical and coaxial digital, HDMI eARC, and USB Type A inputs for hardwiring everything from CD players to game consoles and your big-screen TV. Finally, you can also make the M10 V2 part of a surround sound setup or multi-room system of up to 63 other BluOS wireless players.
The NAD Masters M10 V2 is Roon Ready and offers AirPlay 2 support. It is also friendly with popular voice control assistants. For smart homes, the M10 V2 can be integrated intro Control4, Crestron, Lutron, and other home-automation systems, so you can control music playback, along with other home systems like lighting, shades, HVAC, and security.
The M10 V2 is quite the looker thanks to the creative design skills of award-winning design firm DF-ID. Featuring a solid brushed aluminium chassis and Gorilla Glass top and front panels, it's sure to fit into any living space.
Making room integration even easier is Dirac Live room correction that utilises an enclosed calibrated microphone. You can upload and save up to five listening profiles to create a tailored experience and cater for multiple listening positions, whether you have two or more channels active or you want to compensate for whether or not the curtains are drawn, for example.
NAD boasts that the M10 V2 is equipped with audiophile-grade amplification and DAC. In addition, we are told that navigation for volume, sources and other audio controls is conducted via an upgraded 7-inch IPS colour touchscreen that delivers purer colours and a wider viewing angle than its predecessor.
Renowned nCore amplification technology “conservatively rated at 100 watts per channel” (into 8/4 Ohms) joins the M10 V2's updated gain algorithms allowing for higher output levels with inefficient speakers. Higher gain is also included in the subwoofer outputs, which promises a more comprehensive range of subwoofer-main speaker combinations. Digital to analogue conversion is taken care of by a 24-bit/192kHz ESS Sabre DAC that's said to effortlessly handle BluOS audio streams. Also, it supports MQA and other lossless and high-resolution audio formats from the likes of Amazon Music Ultra HD, Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal.
Around the rear, you'll find “audiophile–grade speaker terminals” and two independent subwoofer jacks. Output settings for the subwoofer are easily controlled and adjusted through the BluOS Controller app. Meanwhile, home theatre fans can build a Dolby Digital Surround Sound wireless 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2 immersive home theatre system using a pair of BluOS surround-enabled wireless speakers or amplifiers. Moreover, NAD states that the M10 V2 can transmit to rear channels wirelessly, with very low latency, making connecting wires around the room unnecessary.
The NAD Masters M10 V2 will be available in Asia around October 2021 and will retail for US$2,749 | S$3,899.
