Gelombang 2022 Hi-Fi & AV Festival Hits Malaysia
Gryphon Production Sdn Bhd will launch its Gelombang audio-visual fair this week from August 5-7, 2022.
Running from 10 am to 8 pm daily, it will be held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, at Melia Hotel, Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. For its debut year, Gelombang 2022 supports many exhibitors from Malaysia, Singapore, and the wider Southeast Asia region and is spread across three floors of the venue.
Wilson Teoh, director of Gryphon, told StereoNET:
We have noticed that due to the Covid situation many hifi enthusiasts are missing a fair for the last 2-3 years. So, it struck us that there is a need to put on a great spanking fun audio-visual fair. At Gryphon Production we believe in pushing the envelope. Those who attend Gelombang 2022 will have a new experience; a fresh perspective.
Wilson continued:
Of course, the exhibitors will be displaying the latest hifi and home theatre systems as an audio and visual feast. Products on display will range from a few hundred ringgit to a few hundred thousand ringgits. There is something for every enthusiast. There are also a few overseas exhibitors who come from Singapore and Australia. It is our desire that when international travel is more convenient, we shall see exhibitors from Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan for starters.
Gryphon productions is also known for its live music events, and Gelombang will leverage this with live performances, talks and workshops. In the words of Wilson, “we want Gelombang 2022 to be a more interactive and engaging affair”.
Local recording artists such as The Shang Sisters, Z Yan, Yudi, David Gomez, 2V1G, Zoey Hui, Ena Hon, An Honest Mistake are just a few who will be performing at the event. The music is programmed to cater to a broad genre and age group of visitors. Not only will the local recording artists be performing, but you can meet them during the Meet & Greet and autograph signing sessions.
Wilson further explains that given his company's major event production background, they've engaged a professional ticketing company as a partner. Gelombang has also partnered with StereoNET Asia as its official Hi-Fi Media Partner.
