Cabasse Pearl Collection Speakers Receive AirPlay 2 Update
The Pearl Collection networked speakers by French firm Cabasse now benefits from Apple AirPlay thanks to the latest software update.
Cabasse's Pearl collection of speakers is now compatible with AirPlay which must be good news for fans of the fruity tech giant as, according to Cabasse, this update goes across the “widest range of high-end connected speakers on the market.”
The 70th anniversary marking Pearl Pelegrina (below), The Pearl Keshi 2.1 system (above), as well as the Pearl, Applause Award-winning Pearl Akoya and Pearl Sub have all received the automatic update enabling Apple AirPlay 2 connectivity as long as you are running iOS 13.4 or later.
Furthermore, Cabasse's Stream 1, Stream Source, Stream Amp, Stream Bar, Stream Base and Stream 3 now also supports AirPlay as long as the speaker is paired (via the StreamCONTROL application) with a recent speaker from The Pearl Collection.
Additionally, suppose you own one of the older Stream products and speakers from The Pearl Collection. In that case, you will be able to group two speakers together via the StreamCONTROL application to use AirPlay with both speakers simultaneously.
To stream audio files with Apple AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad to a Cabasse product, go to the Control Center of your device and tap on the AirPlay icon. You can also stream audio from a Mac to Cabasse speakers (go to your settings in System Preferences/Sound, then select AirPlay) and play audio streams from iOS applications such as Apple Music. In addition, it's possible to choose one or more Cabasse products to stream the same audio to all speakers using AirPlay technology.
If two Cabasse speakers are used in stereo in the same room, grouping them together in the Cabasse StreamCONTROL application, rather than using the AirPlay multiroom feature, is recommended to enjoy stereo listening.
