Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition Announced
Bowers & Wilkins marks a decade of headphone success with the PX7 Carbon Edition.
Bowers & Wilkins' flagship PX7 headphones have been rewarded with a Carbon Edition make-over not only to mark their achievements over the last year but to also celebrate the British hi-fi brand's successful ten-years of head-fi.
The adaptive noise-cancelling PX7 boast top-flight sound quality, smart features and supreme comfort, which together have helped them win countless awards and recommendations around the world - not least the coveted StereoNET Applause Award.
This year, despite all its challenges, sees the 10th anniversary of the launch of Bowers & Wilkins first-ever headphone design, the iconic P5. A breakthrough model for the brand that was also a strong mark of intent. To celebrate this success, the Sussex-based brand has launched the PX7 Carbon Edition.
Loaded with all the things that have made the PX7 so popular, the Carbon Edition's aesthetics are designed to highlight the PX7's pioneering use of carbon-fibre composite reinforcement in its construction. So, the new Carbon Edition features a high-quality carbon black finish with diamond-cut detailing on each ear cup.
The PX7 Carbon Edition uses the proven bespoke 43.6mm drivers along with support for the latest wireless codecs including the recently launched Bluetooth aptX Adaptive technology, allowing the transfer of genuine high-resolution music wirelessly at 24-bit/48kHz streaming quality.
Memory foam earpads ensure that the headset starts with exceptional passive noise isolation. Furthermore, active noise cancellation is catered for by the PX7 Carbon Edition's adaptive technology and quad-mic array which is capable of intelligently sensing the background environment and automatically selecting the appropriate type and level of noise cancellation. You can also use the companion App to select Ambient-Pass-Through which allows select external sounds to be heard without removing the headset - a must have for when ordering your cappuccino, and such.
Thanks to the PX7 Carbon Edition's proximity sensors, the clever cans will automatically pause your music when either ear cup is lifted and then automatically resumes when placed back on your ear.
Also, the PX7 Carbon Edition offers push-button access to Voice Assistant Support via either Siri or Google Assistant depending on the type of phone used.
Finally, the PX7 Carbon Edition's 30 hours of battery stamina from a single charge (with ANC activated) is backed-up by a 15min quick-charge function that hands you another five hours of use.
The PX7 Carbon Edition will be available in October, and sell locally in Singapore and Malaysia at SGD $559 and RM 1,800 respectively.
