Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR+ Launched

Bluesound's new soundbar boasts next-gen features such as a 3D immersive audio engine, support for Dolby Atmos, easy touch panel controls and more.

Bluesound's PULSE SOUNDBAR+ is the all-new replacement for the Pulse SoundBar 2i released in 2019 and joins the Canadian brand's high-performance ecosystem.

Designed to fit perfectly beneath your HD TV, the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ can be wall-mounted using the supplied bracket or sit on a cabinet top thanks to a pair of kickstand feet.

The PULSE SOUNDBAR+ offers a fully immersive sonic experience thanks to a complete audio-chain redesign with advanced DSP processing, enabling the Bluesound soundbar to support 3D audio from Dolby Atmos. Additionally, 24-bit audio processing is pumped out via eight “audiophile-quality” drivers, resulting in 120 watts of total power.

The manufacturer states that the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ can produce decent low frequencies by itself; however, it can also be paired with the PULSE SUB+ to create more dramatic soundscapes. Finally, should you want to enjoy the whole surround sound experience, simply add a pair of PULSE FLEX 2i speakers as rear channels for a completely wireless Dolby Surround system.

Connectivity is covered by a range of wireless and wired options, including HDMI eARC, Apple AirPlay 2, two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, TOSLINK, RCA, USB, and of course Bluesound's proprietary BluOS music streaming system.

Furthermore, we are told to expect a lag-free wireless experience thanks to a pair of WiFi chips that work together to prevent network latency and a custom-specified ARM Cortex A53 Quad-Core chipset. This chipset is said to process audio eight-times faster than previous generations of Bluesound architecture.

Rounding things off are the simple touch controls on the front panel. Naturally, you can also opt to control the system via the BluOS app, enabling you to connect and sync audio to, from, and around any room in the home. Hands-free control of your home entertainment is made possible with popular voice assistants from Google, Amazon, and Apple. Additionally, professional smart home integrators can access drivers for popular control systems such as Lutron, Crestron, RTI, Elan, and others.

The Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR+ is available for pre-order now with shipping starting in April 2021. It will be available in black and white for US$899 | S$1,299 and US$999 | S$1,399, respectively.
