beyerdynamic Releases 2nd-Generation Blue BYRD Earphones
beyerdynamic's 2nd-gen Blue BYRD Bluetooth In-ear neckband earphones combine the brand's proven, high-quality sound with versatile usability for complete flexibility in everyday life.
The Blue BYRD promises a smooth transition between listening to music, phone calls, work, study, or sports - anytime, anywhere. With the latest Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and AAC audio codecs, and the latest generation 5.2 Bluetooth connection, the Blue BYRD is said to deliver a balanced and well-resolved sound. A universal 3-button remote control allows you to manage calls and media playback with ease. Thanks to Multipoint, you can pair Blue BYRD with two devices via Bluetooth simultaneously. Blue BYRD also features Google Fast Pair, allowing for very easy pairing. Thanks to being an Amazon-certified headset, access to Alexa is also possible, as well as Google Assistant and Siri.
The microphone can also reproduce the user's voice via the earphones using the sidetone function, allowing a natural conversation during phone calls and avoiding the occlusion effect.
Qualcomm's cVc technology (8th generation) reduces disturbing background noise and aids in excellent speech audibility, making the Blue BYRD a perfect communication device and companion for private phone calls and business video meetings in the office or on the go.
Thanks to its unique flat design, the Blue BYRD earphones do not protrude from the ear and are hardly noticeable even when lying down. The neckband design also allows for high battery life, lasting up to a claimed fourteen hours for a long listening experience without interruption. Via USB-C, it is fully charged under two hours. A quick charge of ten minutes is said to provide two hours of playtime, and even while charging, the headphones can still be used.
The new Blue BYRD impresses with elegant decorative plates, which are made of anodised and diamond-cut aluminum. The neckband, made of high-quality silicone, adapts perfectly to the skin when worn and features glass-bead blasted metal at both ends. Beyerdynamic also offers many replacement parts, such as earpieces, directly in its online store.
Finally, Blue BYRD can also be connected to beyerdynamic's innovative MIY app. After a listening test of just two minutes, the sound and settings of the headphones can be personalised and completely adapted to the individual hearing.
Available in Asia in early December 2021, the beyerdynamic Blue BYRD will retail for US$149 | S$199 RRP and includes silicone earpieces in 5 sizes, a hard case and a USB cable.
