Rega reveals its all-new Elicit MK5 integrated amplifier

Rega's Elicit MK5 features an updated case and 105W of Class A/B power per channel.
The Rega Elicit MK5 integrated amplifier builds on previous Rega designs and is wrapped in the company's latest custom case to match the rest of the range.
The Elicit MK5 employs the British firm's multi-award-winning Class A/B power amplifier circuit to deliver 105 W per channel into 8 Ω loads (127 W into 6 Ω). Additionally, we are told that the “high-quality” MM phono stage and headphone input socket have been integrated so the speaker switching is performed by the output mute relay so as not to obstruct the signal path.
As well as four line-level inputs, a new design Rega DAC adds optical and co-axial options.
Also under the hood, you will find the same discrete FET based pre-amplifier circuit as the brand's Aethos amp, plus an Alps volume potentiometer to further improve sonic and technical performance.
Rega states that special attention has been paid to selecting critical audio components. Discrete circuitry, high-quality relays, polypropylene capacitors, and Sanken output transistors are used throughout the design.
The Rega Elicit MK5 integrated amplifier is available now for $3,345.
