Hi,  i have blue Heaven speaker cables and interconnects.  My speakers are NHT classic 4 with Arcam 450 and bluray player BD 300.  Like to know what power cable should i get the Blue Heaven or the Red Dawns?  Is it worth it to get the Red Dawns.  Thanks

I have owned many Nordost power cables over the years, starting with their budget products right up to Valhalla and Odin. Each cable went through a home audition of at least a weekend. If I didn't miss it when it was removed at the end of the audition it went back to the shop. None of them went back.

You can be sure that the Nordost hierarchy is real enough. The more you spend the better it will sound. Put two Valhallas in series and it will sound better than one and a lesser power cord.

Your " problem" is a matter of degree. I was using Conrad Johnson and B&W 800 series before I bought my first Nordost product. You seem to like the other cables so it's likely that you will like the power cords but you need to borrow a pair and try it at home. Alternately try and buy second hand from someone reputable. The value for money aspect will depend on you ( how and what you listen to), the power coming into your home and the gear that you are running. If you are using a cheap extension cord to your gear or a basic power strip/ board this will also have some impact on the end result.

That being said, as a rough guide either power cord will be in the right ballpark for your level of system. If you were saying Valhalla I would be recommending you spend the money elsewhere.

HI Briz thanks for your input.  I went ahead and got the Blue Heaven cause the bass was about right,  i could afford Red Dawn but the guy at the shop told me that Blue Heaven is enough.  He said that the Red Dawn will give too much bass for my system.  If wish i had more money to buy Heimdall2 but that would cost more than my system if i got the whole kit..   Thanks again.
