juan-juan Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 I have recently purchased a Musical Fidelity M6i amplifier and would be grateful for any suggestions re: matching speakers.
rantan Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 It would be good to know a budget you need to work with and an idea of preferred musical genres played, but with that said, the M6i should work very well with almost any speaker, but for some suggestions you could try these. Dynaudio, Vienna Acoustics, Monitor Audio, Silver or Gold series, B&W CM series, B&W PM1 or 805, Orpheus Apollo etc. The above mentioned speakers cover a wide price range form under $2K up to about $8K, but for around the $2-2.5K mark in floor standing speakers the Apollos and the MA Silver 6 and 8 are excellent. If you want a high quality and great sounding stand mount the PM1 are simply superb ( but I could be somewhat biased ). They are also available at good prices now as they have been discontinued for some odd reason. Focal Aria 936 and 948 ( FS ) are superb also but are about $4.2K and $5.2K respectively and if you have a decent sized room the 948 are simply astonishing. These are just a few kick off suggestions, subject to more information about your tastes, room and budget Cheers 1
JukKluk2 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 You still need to go listen to those speakers in Carine, @@juan-juan.
juan-juan Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Thanks for the suggestions rantan. I'm going to look at some bargain priced Final 0.3 ESLs this weekend which, paired up with a quality subwoofer, might work well with the M6i.

blakey72 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Have a look at the PMC range of speakers. I'm going the other way and wanting a M6i.
