Just sitting listening to the Morels I've possibly sold - also regretting thinking about the Monitor Audio's I've recently sold - I don't move gear on very often and am finding letting go harder than expected - these damn Morels sound sooooo good - how do you cope with sellers regret - buy more stuff?

some things you sell…are like old slippers …so comfortable and they are literally moulded to you as you are perfectly fitted to them…you miss them when they are gone …and if replaced...the new thing never quite feels the same either….

…just a matter of time :D

Change your money into the smallest denomination, preferably (and recommended) notes rather than coins. Throw it in the air, make it rain, and roll around in it. Promptly pick up the cash.

Repeat as necessary and then buy more gear. Do not throw new gear in air. Does not rain well. Cannot be rolled in.

I think that's correct al - it's the memory of finding the Morels on my local supermarket notice board and then going and demo-ing them with Mondie on a winters night - what a find - and they just sound soooo good for a 2 way - I was so exited at the time - I just hope new owner gets as much enjoyment - I need to play with my collection of stuff more often - so much variriety and quality of gear - why marry just one system :-)

I sold my Audeze LCD 2.2 a few months ago for some Sennheiser HD800 -

And now I have sellers regret. I'm going to get my LCD 2.2 back.

I miss them too much.

I am lucky - the person who bought them is happy to sell them back to me! What a legend!

How do I deal with it?

Block it out of memory as well as I can :(

Sell to friends or give it to family, Andy - then you get to revisit it when you want to. :)

I've had my old XR6Turbo up here for the past week as a swap for Mrs M's car so we could get it serviced for my son.  It would've been really hard for me to sell that car so it's great that he was happy to give it a good home - no seller's remorse there. :thumb:

As a habitual component changer I have only one regret ..........I have not let them go yet but they are sold I wonder if I have made the right choice to let them go ....time will tell but the big Dyn Masters have left a lasting legacy on me ..... the only comfort I get is while I am living overseas they are being wasted ........ :( .......still not sure though so many so called flagships speakers still cant touch them

When we got our first DVD player in the early 2000's, I rationalized and let my Marantz CD-50 go.

Regretted it through a couple of universal DVD player upgrades until I splashed out on the CA751BD 3 years ago.

Or I can sell you a pair too :) I have a 2.2F that doesn't get much use as I prefer the 2.1 for bass heavy and 3F for jazz.

Grab a bottle of Penfold's Grange and a box of Kleenex.. Have a good man cry 25hd6w1.gif

Then go shopping for some new speakers to regret selling in the future...

Rinse and repeat

Appreciate the offer mate! I'm desperate for pre fazor 2.2. I know I'm super fussy, but I once owned a pair and now I miss them.

I think that is still legal in Utah, too.

But unlike a wife, your HiFi system doesn't take you to court for half of your assets when you separate from it... emoticon_ShiftyEyes.gif

Perhaps SNA needs to set up an emergency response team: if you are thinking off selling a cherished component you mention it in SNA and a short time later a crack team of crackpots will be kicking down your doors and windows to offer counselling, a cup of tea, some Tim Tams and getting into an argument about who's going to be sitting in the sweet spot.

Keep it ALL.

The thing about a listening room is it needs room in which to listen.

As compared with a storage room, in which one stores things.

You can't combine the two.  The reflections and sound paths are problematical and there is nowhere to put your feet.

Also the end game is silly, as you listen to your music on a headphone rig while hunched in a man-cave made of stacks of random components - racks, turntables,Tannoys, Maggies...
