SOLD: FS: [SYD] audio-gd Digital Interface V3 with USB32 asynchronous USB, TCXO upgrade and external power supply

Featured Replies

Item: audio-gd Digital Interface V3 with USB32 asynchronous USB, TCXO upgrade and external power supply

Location: Gledswood Hills, south-western Sydney (45 mins from CBD)

Price: $180 firm, shipping at buyer's expense

Item Condition: Perfect electrical condition and minor scratches cosmetically

Reason for selling: Surplus to requirements following the upgrade of my DAC to the USB32 chipset

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only

Extra Info:
For sale is an audio-gd DI V3 and external power supply.

This unit features the USB32 asynchronous USB chip which sounds lovely - MUCH better than any of audio-gd's previous USB implementations. It will also talk to your Squeezebox Touch via asynchronous USB without the need for any drivers. This is EXACTLY how I was using it - as a USB to SPDIF converter for better Squeezebox Touch digital output performance. It is highly recommended in this respect.

This example is accompanied by the audio-gd external power supply unit, the DC connection cable, the TCXO low phase noise and low jitter clock upgrade, two replacement power LEDs, and one replacement USB32 firmware chip. The new price was over $300USD.

I also have the original box and packaging for shipping purposes.

Cosmetically, there are a few scratches on the front face of the power supply. I've never bothered touching them up as these units have been out of view when sitting in my rack. A careful stroke of a thin permanent marker and you could touch them up and buff them if so desired.

Pick-up is from Gledswood Hills, 45 mins from CBD.

very tempted, any idea whether this would provide any benefits running from my PC to Burson Conductor compared to running USB direct to the Burson?

  • Author

It would depend entirely upon the quality of the Burson's USB implementation. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that model.

I will take it if it is still available Pete.
