Buddy Guy -  The Blues is Alive and Well (2018)

I picked this CD up recently in a JB HiFi discount rack for $10. I believe this is Buddy Guy's most recent album, its up to his usual standard, not bad at all for a Guy in his 80s!

Cognac - featuring Jeff Beck and Keith Richards. Its not too hard to pick out Beck's and Richards' guitar parts, although they don't dominate the recording. This is the only track they appear on.

You Did The Crime - featuring Mick Jagger on harmonica. Once again, this is the only track he appears on.

One of my most favoured blues artists. I have just about every album he has made. Just fantastic ( and actually seriously under rated )

Lurrie Bell - Blues in My Soul

@Roberts@rantan I just love this thread !!! when I saw Lurrie Bell come up and read Rantan's post I had to go and sift through my CD's to find my copy of Kiss of Sweet Blues ... I was just going to reminisce but thought I'd share a story. 24 years ago I went to Chicago for work and before I went I researched specialist Blues Music Shops. I can't find a reference for the shop I went to still being there but I'm certain it was "All Jazz & Blues". Shop assistant was really helpful and suggested a new album by Lurrie Bell called 'Kiss of Sweet Blues" and told me he was Cary Bell's son so I added it to the CD's I was buying. Just a few minutes later the guy in the shop spoke to someone who'd just walked in, he walked over to me and offered to sign his CD - it was Lurrie !!! Here's the kicker ... it must have been in Lurrie's 'challenging period' as when he'd signed the CD he bummed $10 off me - The guy in the shop said "damn I've told him not to do that !!!" but I was very OK with it and it made for a fantastic memory. I'd not really followed Lurrie's career since but I'm so pleased that he is well and has been releasing music since then. I've grabbed a copy of 'Blues in My Soul' and am loving it - thanks so much guys
