emesbee Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers - A Hard Road The original 1967 album included Peter Green and John McVie (before Fleetwood Mac) and Ainsley Dunbar (who later joined Frank Zappa's band). My copy is a 2006 CD re-issue. It includes the 14 tracks from the original album (remastered from the original tapes) as well as the EP "John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Paul Butterfield" and also a number of tracks recorded at "BBC Light Programme Saturday Club" session in 1967. There are 28 tracks in total. This is great stuff, and sound quality is quite good throughout, all things considered. I hadn't played this for a quite a while (gave it a spin after watching the blu-ray of Mick Fleetwood's 2020 tribute concert for Peter Green). Have also dug out a number of other Bluesbreakers albums that have been buried in my collection for too long, so expect I will be spinning those in the next few days too. 5

Guest deanB Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 (1991) Had this on the Discogs wishlist for quite some time (waiting for the right price/condition). Purchased from a Polish gentleman, mint condition and well worth the wait, right up there with my favourite Doug album, Dubb (2004).
wen Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 saw both eric and keb at the bluesfest in byron bay, using my desk top system, sounding superb. 2 1
