tigertim Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 What happened ? Did you buy into that "CD is forever" business? No way, where's that bar of soap!!. I'd rather give up sex than give up my turntables and LP's... I was referencing the Goldmund to all the other beyond esoteric TT's that have shown up in this post.. most of which I have never heard of let alone seen! In this household it is LP>cassettes>CD in order of preference. CD's are good for kids and wife's.. easy to get the finger prints off.

I like their simplicity and smooth lines.Cheers, Jake Jake, Excellent turntables. And relatively good value. They finally seem to be getting the recognition they deserve. They very rarely get bested in any direct comparison and are renowned to have a great sense of timing and musicality (not remotely clinical) cheers 2sheds

2sheds Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 47 Labs Model 4724 Koma (Price around $12,000) A marvel of innovative engineering. Two platters rotate in opposite direction providing a gyroscope effect and cancelling vibration. Each is magnetically levitated and the spindles feature a special metal which is impregnated with oil for permanent lubrication and almost zero friction. And the arm, don't let me start on the arm.... A masterpiece of Japanese craftsmanship, and one of the best sounding turntables available today. cheers 2sheds
