k-k-k-kenny Posted August 5, 2016 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Herlin revisited: I've moved offices recently, and now occupy a bit under 19 sq m, into which I have squeezed CD players, the Luxman CL-40, the Weston Artisan, the Ocellia Calliope .30s, other amplifiers, a desk, a table of 4 sq m, 5 chairs, 10 cartons of CDs, several boxes of books, 2 dozen bottles of lunch ... it's kinda crowded in there, and is a decidedly less than ideal listening space ... So after lunch this afternoon I finally got to listen to the Herlin RIley album at leisure. And I turned it up a bit. It's a great production. It goes all the way down to the bottom of real acoustic instruments, and all the way up to the top of them, in a very satisfying way. Previous listening on the small PMCs (which are good in their own way) didn't really expose its wholeosity quite as well.
