.....and, given that it started in 1946, we are unlikely to see anything that was continuously manufactured through WW II. OK, maybe American.

Well it did to my great uncle Cliff, that's why he got sent home from the war

Bose 901's since 1968. Not a bad run.

 

I think the intention is for products that are actually sold on a regular basis. I have no figures, but I doubt the 901 has been sold in any real numbers for many years. It is kept on the books as a nod to the company's origins. I speak regularly to a Sydney Bose dealer and he has not sold any in many years.
