Reason: Considering Ayre MXR 20 and KXR 20

Other: These are the recently released products from Ayre. Not to be confused with the older 5-series which has different model designations.

I am the first owner and have all the original packaging. I have only had these 2-3 months and they are "as new".

As most of you probably know, Ayre and Charlie Hansen have an enviable reputation in the "amp world", producing class leading products. I have tasted Ayre, and I want more!

As usual, I can be reasonably flexible regarding payment terms, but I will send 'round "the heavies" if preordained agreements, are not adhered to!

I should make it clear that I purchased these from the authorised retailer, and distributor in Singapore (he also covers most of South East Asia. The main reason for this, was that I did not want to deal with Audio Connection.

Preference will be given to members who wish to buy the set.

I may also consider part trades for a nice sports watch with case no bigger than 38mm.

Yes, I lust after some of Teddy's acquistions, but my traditional judgement of value for money and the potential for disagreements with my wife if I did acquire these leave me confused.

So, I look, window shop and do nothing.

And leave, wondering whether my 'undersized' equipment really does perform as well as it might, whether it really is in that sweet spot of price and performance.

 

You may not have these issues.
