G'day,

Hello mondie going by your avatar you liked , Life On Mars

Gotta love the Gene Hunt quotes:

  • ""She's as nervous as a very small nun at a penguin shoot"
  • "You so much as belch out of line and I'll have your scrotum on a barbed wire plate"
  • "He's got fingers in more pies than a leper on a cookery course"
  • "There will never be a woman prime minister as long as I have a hole in my arse."
  • "Come out! You're surrounded by armed b@st@rds!".

It pisses me off that there is no more "Life On Mars" and "Ashes To Ashes" has not been shown yet.

I agree with a lot of Uncles list, but Oh Man! how do you find time to be happy if all that pisses you off?

happy?

Who's got time to be happy?

Actually, my Bolivars are finally working and sounding, if not high end, quite nice. That and those moments of relief from sore, arthritic feet and hands makes me somewhat happy.

Cheers

And Andything,

You may have a point however I enjoy seeing two blokes bashing it about more than I do a bunch of grown men throwing a little red ball around. Both seemingly pointless exercises but only boxing has ring girls....

Hello mondie going by your avatar you liked , Life On Mars .

Cheers.

Loved it mate, l don't watch any drama at all. This is the first show l have really enjoyed since Wildside & MDA. Seems a good one only comes around every 3 years.

- people who talk on mobiles at inappropriate times/places eg the cinema or whilst driving

- people who think because you have a mobile or email they should be able to call you whenever they want and that you'll be available, or that they expect an immediate response to a text or mail

Dog avatars, particularly animated ones.

Years ago a young woman signed up for World Vision. She was assigned to a remote village in South Africa where she tended the sick and the frail, and instructed the women in pre- and post-natal care. She also learned, during her stay, the local dialect.

She worked closely with the tribal medicine man whom she greatly

respected for his knowledge of the medicinal properties of many plants

and herbs. She also admired him for his personal qualities, and in time

married him.

When she returned, with her husband, to the Australia, she was met

by her mother with many hugs and kisses, and then introduced her husband.

"Mother," she said, "meet your son-in-law Mustud-Kumba-By-Ya."

In one glance the mother took in his outlandish outfit and the splendor

of the regalia of his many trinkets -- in his hair, earlobes, the single

pendant in his left cheek, and the many colorful necklaces, and, without

skipping a heart beat, said:

"My darling daughter, I told you to marry a rich doctor, not a witch

doctor"...:)

cheers

The generation of politicians who got their degrees & post graduate qualifications for free, and then made it "user pays" for everyone who followed

User pays!

As a principal; I find it anti-community. The people who rely most on user pays can't afford it not to be free.

I didn't know you were a headmaster, mr-happy-pants.

Notwithstanding this, I am inclined to agree with you. In some circumstances and with certain reservations. Apart from that, I am right behind you.
