Oh what horrible news. I was aware that he has always struggled with depression, which I believe is quite common amongst comedians.

Very very sad. RIP, make God laugh.

That's sad news indeed. I've enjoyed he's movies and stand up shows and he was an excellent entertainer. RIP Robin.

A sad day indeed :(

OSCAR-WINNING actor and comedian Robin Williams has been found dead at his home in California.

A STATEMENT from the Marin County Sheriff's Department said the 63-year-old funnyman was found shortly before midday at his home in Tiburon, northern California.

"At this time, the Sheriff's Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia," the statement said on Monday.

Robin will be sorely missed.

Suicide is a killer.

"The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that each year approximately one million people die from suicide or one death every 40 seconds. It is predicted that by 2020 the rate of death will increase to one every 20 seconds."

There goes another....

remerber mork and mindy?

My favorite as a kid ... Always loved the Happy Days episode, where it think Mork first appeared, and that thumb vs finger battle with Fonzie!

So Cool!

Mork and Mindy (and Happy days) were some of the only few US sitcoms I watched as a kid growing up. Also some of my favs. Such a nice guy, a sad loss to comedy, to TV, to movies and the world.

RIP Robin.

Was never afraid of taking on the difficult roles and in doing so has left us with many indelible movie memories.

World according to Garp is a favourite.

It taught me that it's OK to buy something that's broken.  Or; "pre-disastered"! (plane crash scene)

Found it.

The first novel I actually enjoyed reading, all because of his involvement in the movie!
