The hifi one will be worth it as any search for hifi will most likely bring it up on the first page of results.

true that i saw $50k for a QLD Plate TA EX lol typical female driver too lol

Big money in domain names.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_expensive_domain_names

When the internet "became popular" a few clever people took domain names they knew/thought would make them money as they figured companies would want them.

And it worked for some.

:)

Wholly Crap... ok start searching for choice domain names now.....

I have some limited experience in website marketing and it is hard to beat a domain name that has the most popular keywords in them for getting at the top of the list on Google. There are some ways around it (to get to the top of the list) with really relevant content to the keywords your hoping to pick people up on but its a lot harder to do.

I love the real clever ones like "MYNE", "ITZ MYN" "HIS" "HERS".

Money well spent.

If I was gonna go down that route I'd do something random like IXTTXI, OAXXAO or something which looks cool, is totally pointless and works in the rearview mirror as well.

Do some googling about cost of advertising, producing a mid to high quality TV commercial etc.

You'll find that companies spend millions and millions on advertising and finding that "something" that sticks in people's minds and make them remember the company name.

Especially in today's world when there's so much information being thrown at us everywhere we look.

You have to have something that stands out and people remember a month later when they need that [whatever].

Often a lot of money is spent on things that most of us don't even notice.

Example: BP changed their logo years back and made the letters "lean" to symbolize that they are moving forward or some crap.

Which meant that every sign at every servo, on every truck, every printed piece of paper all around the world had to be changed.

Of course that logo, like most others, has changed a number of times over the years, but that would have to be the most pointless one which most people probably didn't even notice.

Now they're all about being "green" with their flower logo, of course.

understandable about big companies spending millions but we are merely an existence and to ask for $25k or $3800k for a domain name is ridiculous but justified given its a good domain name and the referral will bring in those customers...

Oh well each to their own i hope they get what they ask for in regards to the sale of the domain names i know i wont be buying it thats for sure lol
