ThirdDrawerDown Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Item: A number of 78 rpm records (16 78's and 1 33rpm) all 10" diameterLocation: MelbournePrice: Free with donation to SNA. Item Condition: frankly, horrible. Scratches, chips, gouges, chunks missing, no wrappers/dust covers for any of these, scratches, a couple have paint flecks, two are broken, even the labels are damaged. Reasons for selling: No 78 function on turntable. A desire to see old things kept not binned, even as curiosities.Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, bank deposit. Extra Info: starting a funky café? Bought the Ikea or crowdfunded LP picture frames? Put these on your walls. Genuine real thick 78rpm with genuine retro interest. Are you an audiophile? Compare this to 180gsm, it's heavier so must sound better unplayable without clean-up software etc etc. Can’t be bothered selling on ebay, so it’s here or nowhere. A piece of history. Label collectors: Tempo Records, Parlophone, Decca, His Master’s Voice, Colombia, Philips, Regal Zonophone, Capitol, Mercury. $25 is less than 1 CD to buy. 33rpmHis Masters Voice Mario Lanza The Student Prince pre 1954 Not this one but manufactured in Sydney:http://www.discogs.com/Mario-Lanza-The-Student-Prince/release/63450978 rpmRegal Zonophone label - Regal Zonophone "Southern Music Sydney" All made in Australia by Colommbia Gramophone (Aust) Pty LtdSlim Dusty A Pub With No Beer b/w Saddle BoyHistory of this label and the huge Slim Dusty single here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regal_Zonophone_Records "The biggest selling Australian record up to that time" (1957)Listenable versions can be found here - http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/sis.html?_nkw=SLIM%20DUSTY%20REGAL%20ZONOPHONE%20COLLECTION%203%20CD%20New&_itemId=4002562369091947?
