Luc Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Wow indeed, funny there was no mention of his record player or gear.
Steam Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 If he is a really serious collector he probably doesn't have a player. It's the obsession to collect everything possible.
Tasebass Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Wow http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/magazine/the-brazilian-bus-magnate-whos-buying-up-all-the-worlds-vinyl-records.html?_r=1 upon first glance I thought that was Mick Fleetwood!!! 2
progladyte Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I like the way he is comfortable walking across those Elvis Presley test pressings..... If they have all been packed up in a horizontal position as the picture suggests, who knows how much warpage would take place. What would he do if someone wanted to play that special Beatles pressing from 1965 that is in aisle 4 row 2 stack 5 box 5 layer 7 side 2? There must be a lot of crap amongst that lot - Quantity over quality methinks.........
Quickbrick Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Agree that if he is buying entire collections he must end up with plenty of crap. Not to mention plenty of doubles. Clearly not collecting for listening purposes so most probably not in the game for the same reason as most of us.

There is another thread running here which has a long article about the bloke and his motivation for compiling such a large collection.
