Hey all,

I'm looking for some advice. I am mounting a 92" LP Morgan Projection screen onto a wall that has a window nearly in the exact spot that I want to put the screen.

I can't use the original mount that comes with the projection screen as it requires it to be positioned in the middle of the room, but I have the window in the way.

I was wondering if I could mount 2 brackets on either side of the window and 2 spacers to hold it away from the wall) at the bottom.

I am presuming that there is a stud all the way around the window, but I will need to space out the bracket enough to clear the window frame and the curtains (around 2-3 cm).

This is a picture of the left hand side (the screen is pretty much exact in the middle, but shows how much the screen hangs over the window frame on each side.

I am presuming the screen weighs about 16kg or so, this would mean that each bracket would be holding about 8kg each.

The factory bracket uses a little Lip U bracket that allows the screen to hang off, I am trying to replace that but in a bracket thats only 2-3cm wide.

Just wondering what sort of ideas I can use to mount the screen. Thanks :)

Have you considered hanging it from the ceiling?

Good point that could work quite well. I must admit though I have never made hooks before like that. I am in a rented property so would have to check with the landlord what would be ok.

I have permission to run brackets off the wall so far.

Thanks :)

Eek, I'm not that brave.

My screen is in front of a window so I made a stand for it.

considered a pull down screen?
