Seems we have no choice now.

An endless stream of comments from viewers, mostly stating the obvious, commenting on something that was said 20 seconds ago, or desperately trying to get their "witty" hashtag to go viral.

I don't mind watching QandA from time to time, but I find my eyes wandering towards the bottom of the screen whether I want to or not.

(Hint - not)

I don't care what other viewers think of what was just said.

Really.

I don't.

Maybe there should be an option to watch programs with or without tweets...?

Absolutely agree. It is why I dislike the radio chat programmes. I frankly don't give a rat's about what Frank from Rockingham has to say about the cuts to education. Why can't they just interview the people actually involved in the issues at hand.

I see tweets as an extension of the boring radio chat shows where Frank can not only get to be heard live on radio by his mates but they can now see his brilliant tweets on the tele.

have a play with your zoom settings on your TV, although not the best option as it stretches and distorts the image, but Toshiba had a very good zoom option that squeezed out the subtitles without compromising the picture as much

might be an option to try while that program is on

Would be more practical than gaffer tape across the bottom of the screen I suppose

While we are on the topic.. what about reports on the so called 'news' websites that consist mainly of comments from the twitverse

i think they call that restructuring

There is one button on your TV remote to fix all of that ...

OFF?

Totally agree, I have zero interest in tweeted "opinions". I cannot watch Q and A for long now unless I read SNA at the same time to keep my eyes off the screen.
