was_a
Hi all, Does anyone have experience or suggestions for reducing mechanical noise from CD players / computer drives etc? I'm thinking along the lines of adhesive sheets/covers or small acoustic foam designed for electronic devices.
Krispy Audio
There's Dynamat type sheeting, almost like bitumen on a roll with adhesive backing, but you don't want that near anything that gets too hot. Jaycar sell an equiv as well.
Pulse-R
I tested the temperature thing a while ago. Dynamat(and Stinger's similar product) works fine up to 120 deg.C still holding strong. the cheaper products begin lose their ability to adhere much above 50C. Pulse-R
for some simple damping, the sticky-backed 3mm foam at jaycar works for normal temperatures.
