Benje
As discussed at Pine Weasel's, time for another GTG at Norwood. We can start at 2pm, and can finish whenever. Could be pizza for tea that night! Apart from spinning a few tunes, we will do the with/without on the isotek evo 3 polaris power board and cable. It is chalk and cheese on my system, whereas it was a subtle difference at Pine Weasels. We could try a different hdmi cable as well (my system is fed via hdmi from an oppo 103D). If someone wants to see what effect Darbee has on video, we can do that as well (it is not significant on my system) For those that can't remember, I'll send out contact details via PM in the week before the GTG. Hopefully some of you who haven't been able to get here before can make it this time. Please bring a disc/stick or even vinyl (the player is not aspirational though) of something you would be interested in hearing from a VAF soundwall. padre_power
Benje Why do these happen when I cannot attend. What a bummer. I would have loved to have come over as I have never heard your soundwall. Here's hoping for another opportunity. Detlev
Benje
Detlev please let me know off-line when it suits - weekday or weekend. I suspect we might get a separate three or four person GTG as well. Benje

RockandorRoll
Too far out to tell at this stage, but I might get to this one not far from home and i hear the HT setup is quite nice.

frankn
And we will have to remember to remove our shoes. Will BEnjie be supplying slippers for all? I'll bring sake
Benje
No, she is away. No aggressive treads on the shoes though, no grit, no stiletto heels. We have resanded/repolished floors. They look like new. My wife is very happy with them. FrankN - I expect you will also turn up in that Komono then, along with the Sake? Newman - some who have been before cannot remember the address, others haven't been, some who have been can't remember being there. So, I will send an address just before the event to everyone. You do not have to admit to memory issues to get a new address advice. VF - catch you at another time - watch the PM box.

Benje
I might need to change my avatar, seeing as Shadow is no longer with us (he departed 4 months ago - he was about to turn 14. All good). Perhaps I should use a 'look-alike' with C3P0? Perhaps. Also, I downloaded the Hi-Res vs Low-Res comparison of three AIX pieces of musice that is on AVS Forums. I suspect we might try this, and see who can and can't detect a difference on my system. It is an interesting exercise, comparing the same recordings but at different levels of resolution. The analysis is purely personal and doesn't necessarily have any implications for others, It is a comparison of well recorded material. Also, if GregW comes - how about bringing some of your favourite coffee (whole beans)? We can do a coffee comparison as well. My machine (automatic Miele) might not stack up to the best 'coffee-phile' machine but at least we could compare two or three different beans and the impact of different milk. darthlaker
Yes, I think you need to change the Avatar, Benjetinman AIX should be fun..... Besides a killer cup of coffee, GregW makes a great ginger drink as well!
Benje
AIX low-res and high-res could be more fun on a different system - I am wondering whether I will note any difference from that I hear on my VAF soundwall system with a denon receiver vs, say, on Vandersteen 7's with monoblocks. GregWormald
I should be able to get there, and coffee is always a possibility. The address and a reminder to roast some different beans a week before would be useful Greg
Shane F
Benje I would love to come along if there's room for one more. Thanks Shane
Kensell21
Hi Benje, A bad decision was made to go to work instead of going to Pine Weasel's gtg. . A quite day at work wasn't a fair trade off for missing a day with music and friends... I think I'll be free and would like to come if there's room. Always enjoy my visits. Like to catch up and talk remotes Thanks
Benje
see you then Kensell, and others. I'll do a list later as to who I understand is coming (including Shane F - who I dont think I have met yet). There are a couple who might be a few days late (PP and VF) - we'll arrange something there.
Tony M
I'd be keen on coming to this one. If there's still room, please put me down as a "highly probable" - not definite only because I rarely plan that far ahead. PS I think you were at a gtg at my place late last year that Shane F was also at, but maybe not at the same time. Tony M
Mark out a couple of extra spaces please mate - at my age, the parking skills go downhill something awful.
christosd
I thought the parking skills should have improved after 'practising' reversing up and down Frank's hill 20 times last week!
