    looks great!

    they are all the rage once more.

    A good move acquiring a unit with dbx nr. It will have a nice wide dynamic range.

    It looks in great condition on the outside ... does it need servicing/repairs or is it good to go as is?

     

    Can you still buy new blank tape for these units?

    Fully reconditioned inside and out, @@Chickenism has lots of brand new tape he tells me. ;)

    :hiccup I am green with envy.  I have always been akjai fan - especially the early ones which were very rugged.  This 747 is great.  Very hard to get one here in OZ though!  I do need another deck apart from my GX-77 - just because I like gthe look of these and also I love the vintage stuff!  Always sounds better than this modern compressed digital streaming rubbish!

     

    When you get it set up would like to read about your views on it.
