Given Jello's larger than life status in and out of the band can it still be The Dead Kennedy's without him?

No Jello then no DK's.

I wouldn't waste my time and money unless he was fronting them.

I saw them last time they toured. It was good, but obviously it wasn't the same without Jello.

A few months later, Jello toured with the Guantanamo School Of Medicine. Now that was awesome. The crowd was a bunch of middle aged men jumping all over each other like we were teenagers.

Just dumb, would be like REM without Stipe, his voice is such a unique part of the band

Plus he wrote a goodly amount of their songs

Nevermind, I googled. Jello is certainly a massive part if I think about them on the surface but if I think more deeply, Klaus, DH and Ray are all just as important. I will definitely go to the Melbourne.

Who's fronting them? Any details?

I think it is going to be what they call an "evening of instrumentals"

all backed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra      Ha Ha wouldn't that be very very wrong

Seriously it needs Jello to be DK.

Yeah it does but since that will never happen this will do me just fine. The first album I purchased with my own money was Fresh Fruit and it still features regularly on rotation in my ears.
