LogicprObe
Best to say if you prefer solid state or valve and how much you are looking at spending.
thoglette
Best to say if you prefer solid state or valve and how much you are looking at spending. If really cheap look for a Vox Pathfinder 15R - now "de classe" with the VT (etc) series modelling/12AX7 following afterwards. So cheap - but with good tone, reverb and vibrato. Best $50 to $100 you can spend. I;ve heard good things about the Fender frontman 25R which can also be found for sub $100. mwhouston
I have a super-retro Fender F5 Champ amp and antique Jensen 12" Alnicon magnet speaker to go. Total custom build from the ground up; cotton coated wire, 50 year old Ozzie 6V6 black glass (rare) and 12AX7, very early individually hand made Jupiter beeswax and foil caps, carbon film resistors, with choked PS and triode or UL mode (switchable) and two inputs. Plus 40 year old Jensen 12" speaker. Has effects loop and folded steel chassis. 1960 solder used throughout (has copper in it), all point-2-point wiring. Unique build, cannot be repeated, absolute one-of-a-kind. 5W RMS. PM if interested.

LogicprObe
Here's a review. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/guitar_amplifiers/vox/pathfinder_15r?no_takeover I'd be keeping the Champ!
thoglette
I'd be keeping the Champ! +1. I like my Vox PF15R but it's a CHEAP amp. Tracking them down can be a bit tough (lots of 10s and reverb free ones around) like any out-of-production item but they were damn cheap new and as they have less knobs than the modelling and hybrid amps which followed (from Vox and Fender), tend to be ignored in the used market.
