Darren69
A new addition in the form of a sub! I love them, even when they are hardly putting anything out, they contribute to the SQ soo much. Some random shots from this arvo after set up and before beer time. Guest
Bass junkies Always nice to have a second system in the workshop that has little or no regard for SQ/room acoustics/quality components, but shakes the spiders out of building next door
Guest
In the other shed, the storage shed, I have this awesome system Old Marantz which used to be in the workshop shed but suffered the mono curse so got moved over here I've "borrowed" half of the knobs for various other projects hehe Powering this lonely single speaker at the moment. Good enough for when I'm loading the ute or moving things around. Edited August 29, 2016 by Dirty_vinylpusher

Guest
Ah yes the old headphone to line in trick. back in the day I used to butcher old headphone leads, strip and sticky tape the ends together (sometimes blutack) and join various mismatched devices together. With....shall we say - mixed results. Hang on....not much has changed really.....just that I have a soldering iron and heatshrink these days
powerav
Love this thread as this is the place i spend most of my time in spring/summer. Here is mine, got speakers for free of a rich doctor who i installed a lifestyle system for, said these were ugly and glad to see them go. The amp I just got of gumtree for $40! man this thing sounds superb, I don't think the seller had no idea what he was selling, he was actually trying to convince me how good these sharp HTIB speakers were. I paid the $40 and got out quick. A/B switch on Onkyo TX-820 to go to inside Yamaha NS 20T and to Yamaha outdoor speakers. Powerglide
My workshop's a bit larger than most sheds 1000 SQM, $70 for this Yamaha AX 500 from a local op shop, he wanted $100 with the TT and Speakers which I said he could keep, comes with the legendary loudness knob! I acquired these EAW 466 conference room speakers from a defit job we did, there were three pairs, nice bonus score. dont quite know how the 80W Yammy runs the 500W Eastern Acoustic Works but man it cranks, I only get to open it up on the weekends with the doors shut, preferably for the neighbors when it's pissing down. Sounds best from 80 feet away upstairs on the same level as the speakers, coincidentally that's where my office is, Saturday is paperwork day.

Powerglide
My office system is a little more intermit cira 68 Kriesler 3 n 1, the amp started sending smoke signals about a year ago so I gave her a heart transplant "Kiwi Style" .Found a donner stereogram on gumtree with a seized TT for $50, they used the same receiver on multiple configurations for many years. I cut the main wiring loom which consisted of about 15 coloured wires and reconnected with a chocolate block, been going ever since @skippy124 eat your heart out. Mine has the reel to reel which I have never tried, all seems to function, if anyone has a recording they can flick me I'd be keen to have a go. As long as the impedance matching is close............no problem! I used to use 2 x 300watt stage monitors in the back of my EH wagon powered by the car radio which probably was about 10 watts a channel...........if that. Sounded massive.
