Luc Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Yup, great amp and it is indeed a bargain and they are thin on the ground these days and no longer in production. Can't recommend it enough and I don't think it'll hang around for long. I'm hanging onto mine and I'd want more for mine so this a bargain.
Snake Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Thanks keys. I thought someone should have the opportunity to use this amp rather than it sitting as a spare and is probably not likely to become a collector's item. I am sure there is plenty of Usher S520's out there requiring suitable, affordable amplification.
Snake Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Luc you might be onto something, maybe they are becoming a collector's item.
Luc Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I'm using mine as we speak, more grunt than a pack of pigs and it drove my Quad 11L classics with ease so it'd do the same to the Ushers. 12 months ago people were selling them and they were quite a regular appearance here but this is the first one for the year I think and none have come up on ebay so while there may be a few of them out there, people are hanging on to them. With the new 'Black' range of Redgum gear coming out, you may find that these become even harder to find due to the price increase of the entry level amp. If this is here in a weeks time I'd be surprised and especially as it looks in fantastic cosmetic condition.
Vqya23N4086e Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I am sure there is plenty of Usher S520's out there requiring suitable, affordable amplification. Another fan of this amp teamed up with the Usher S520s. Listening to the combination right now as a matter of fact.
king of the road Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Would people see this as an upgrade on the NAD 356BEE? Or more a step sideways - different character but a similar quality?
Snake Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Apologises for my absence. Thanks everyone for your interest, the amp is now sold, left today.
