alistairm Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I was lucky enough to pick this "coffee table" up from @@Peter the Greek in the classifieds. I think this gentleman SNAer is selling his handy work short. 9
alistairm Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Here are a couple more... this thing may become my review rack of choice! Hats off again to Peter and I think I'll stick him on moderator preview so that I can pick up anything else he is selling before someone else does! 4
shaky Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Wow. That's bloody nice. Sassafras veneer on the top section? I'm off to the wood thread to remove all evidence of my substandard work!! 1
Guest Peter the Greek Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) Wow Alistair, what a room! Table looks great in there.....as opposed to jammed into the corner of my dining room! I'm very pleased you're happy with it. As I said, I am really sad to see it go, but its very nice to see it in such a fine room. Thanks for the kind comments all. Happy to build it again, for the right price P.S. its Redheart Gum Edited June 16, 2014 by Peter the Greek

alistairm Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Build more audio racks Peter! Sydney needs one of you since Andrew Aslan escaped our rat race and headed to Tasmania. 3
Malcolm Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Personally I don't think it belongs in the DIY section , it belongs in the audio furniture section on the forum . Very cool piece. :-) 2
steve u Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Beautiful work, love that office and the dog house looks comfy...livable. :}
Guest Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I'm imagining a whole "set" of these tables/units. One on each end, facing away from eachother and a large one in the middle with two "feet" pointing outwards. ^_^
Krispy Audio Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 You've got a major talent there Peter, nice job!
illusion Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Superb stuff Peter, I've been on the lookout for a new entertainment centre, I can tell your work is better than most I have seen.
astr0b0y Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I'm looking for a new entertainment unit too but nothing I've found d locally comes close to what is like so I'm resorting to a custom design. The curves in Peter's works is very much what I'm looking for. Nice stuff.

There is close to a sheet of ply in one base alone!
Guest Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 That would be very cool............though heavy, really heavy. There is close to a sheet of ply in one base alone! I bet, but once something like that is set up, you wouldn't really have to move it. I suppose it would be difficult to actually MAKE it if it is that heavy however. Do you have any "making of" pics of the table?
